First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Peter's first day of kindergarten.

He's been excited to join Sam on the school bus for over a year, and ever since we bought him his new Star Wars shirt (really one of his few new pieces of Back to School clothing), he's been trying to wear it everyday. Somehow, we were able to jeep him from donning it until this morning.

He's at the BIG school now in a class of 16 with other American, Korean and French kids on a 23 acre campus, but for some reason--as small in stature as he may seem against this backdrop--I have no doubt he will be just fine.

Writing about Peter this afternoon, reminds that I was juts recently thinking about how much I love his laugh, because Peter doesn't just laugh with his mouth. He laughs with his whole body. He legs quake, and his arms jiggle, and he throws his head back and cackles--sometimes a little to maniacally--but no matter how mad you might want to be at him, as soon as he starts laughing you can't help but laugh with him no matter how hard you try not to.
