Our Peach Tree

Along with the dogs days of summer, the peach tree in our front yard blossomed!

To me, it is practically magic that a tree we pay no attention to and do literally nothing to maintain can produce amazingly delicious peaches. Our yard in Brazil had mango trees, but they were difficult to harvest because of how tall they were, and, sadly, many of the mangoes plummeted to their doom before they could be picked and eaten.

Elise made her grandfather's peach cobbler a few weeks ago with some equally delicious peaches we got from the store. I'm hoping there are a few left when the ingredients for my pale ale arrive, so I can brew a summer beer with them!
